The Piazza Santa Maria Novella
You can reach Santa Maria Novella square from the Duomo (cathedral) by taking via dei Banchi.
In the square the 2 marble obelisks rest on bronze turtles sculpted by Giambologna. They were used as milestones for the chariot races. The loggia on the other side of the square is that of the hospital San Paolo.
