The Mercato Centrale

 

The Mercato Centrale is located in Piazza del Mercato Centrale, which can be reached from the Duomo (cathedral) by taking Borgo San Lorenzo and then Via de' Ginori, continuing on the left in Via Taddea and then on the left in the small Via Rosina which leads you to Piazza del Mercato Centrale.

Opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 2 pm. Closed on Sunday

Price: free of charge

It was built between 1870 and 1874 by the architect of the famous Victor Emmanuel II Gallery in Milan.
